facebook vs msn

Anyone agree that facebook is kicking msn's ass?

In the olden days it was always. hey add me on msn.
now its. hey u got facebook? u search for me u add me ok?
and is it really any wonder why?

u add a person with a single click of a button.
5 years later... eh. don't really remember who that person is. ill just stalk that person.
hmm. check photos. check info. check hp number. check mutual friends.
20 mins later. memory jogged. suddenly starting to slightly remember.
oh it was that annoying duudee. totally remember now.
closes the page. and moves on to stalk another person whom u don't remember meeting.

and another 5 years down the road. eh who was that dude again?
no worries. lets stalk him/her.

see. whereas with msn its.
add u! then..
 5 years of non conversation with the person.
then u open up a chat box trying to remember who that person is.
the only clue u have is the person's email.
and of course his/her dodgy msn display picture.
sometimes its a person standing in the distance u can only see his/her shape.
or its an annoying animal.
even worse. u get a picture with a guy and a girl.
and ur left trying to figure out whether the person ur talking to is a boy or a girl. aiks!

so really.
is it any wonder now a conversation with a new person is bound to end like this:
so add me on facebook ok? first name xxxx last name yyyy. nice meeting u!

and ppl end up with 1000000+ friends on their friend list.
number of ppl they end up talking to: 50

ridiculous?
sad to say. im one of those ppl.
time to reorganize my friend list.

Haven't blogged in a while.

Had a really crappy period 0 this morning. but aihs.
Stupid limiting reagent. I changed my answer! to the wrong one! so mad at myself. but i'll have to live with it i suppose. sigh. 10 marks! die la. if get 70+ this time i'll be content.

anyway. after that. got okay marks for econs MC.
and after that for maths. haha. so funny. added 5 marks to my p0! woohoo!
but still its not a really good mark. could have done so much better! if only i didn't misinterpret the probabilty question. aish. so sad. =(
but maths was so funny. me and joseph kept adding marks, and jeannette was like I want to add also. but she already top mark in class. wth. =)

but yea. that cheered me up a little.

So anyway. what i'm trying to say is. I really need to change the way I'm studying!
What i'm doing is obviously not working!
So...I did up a study plan. Yes dad, u can be proud of me.
And i'm so gonna stick to it! I hope. =S
but i really want that good TER mark. so..sacrifice is good for me. Sigh.

ANND.......
I blocked facebook. sort of. I got this extension. called STAYFOCUSED.

haha. so only allowed on facebook for 40 mins each day. hopefully that will stop me procrastinating. so I'm just gonna test it out this week.

Now I'm wondering if i should block my google reader as well.

For those of you that don't know, i use my google reader to follow updated blogs. i have tons of blogs on it. 

And i can spend more than an hour just checking my google reader...but not everyday..so..still wondering..

Yeap. hopefully that will stop me! from procrastinating. =)

Happy endings

I just watched one of the saddest movies eveerrr. =(((( T.T
maybe you guys might not find it sad but i did! sigh.

I hate unhappy endings.
I hate reading books/watching movies with unhappy endings.

You guys might say this is unrealistic, Life isn't a fairytale. Therefore, you prefer that it doesn't have a happy ending. BUT so what?
Why can't we just escape for a little while into a little bubble where fairy tales really do come true?
Why can't these sadistic movie directors give us a happy ending?!

Okay, I guess HATE is the wrong word to use.
I mean I can read books by authors like Jodi Picoult, where you know she'll throw you a curve ball and the story isn't at all cliche.
I don't mean to say I LOVE reading cliche books. I get bored by them too.
And now that I think about it, I do love some books where there's loss and whatever at the end of it,
i.e. marley and me.
BUT then again, those losses are like supposed to be there, and circumstances can't change it. Or It really wasn't meant to be.

So to rephrase my sentence.
I HATE READING BOOKS/WATCHING MOVIES WHERE THE HERO AND HEROINE WHO SHOULD END UP TOGETHER, DON'T!
I'll admit it. I am a sucker for a good love story.

AHHHH. FINE.
To each his/her own.
You guys can keep your own opinions and I can keep mine.
BUT I SERIOOUSLY HATE IT WHEN THE HERO AND THE HEROINE SHOULD END UP TOGETHER BUT NO...THEY HAVE TO SACRIFICE.
